Video Transcript: The Netskope Security Cloud

Cybercrime has been increasing 15 percent year over year, and it’s outpacing the economic burden of natural disasters. It’s a huge problem.

Companies start being attacked by criminals. They’re being attacked by people who frankly don’t have any morals. And so, when you think about the impact of this, forget about even the many billions and trillions of dollars lost because of these attacks. People may not see it and feel it, but the reality is there is a war being fought every second of the day. And what Netskope does is it protects the people on the good side.

What’s the most valuable asset of a company other than its people? It’s its data. It’s the new oil, right? You want people to be able to do their business. You want pharmaceuticals to develop the latest vaccines. You want healthcare companies to service their patients. You want financial institutions to be available worldwide to promote commerce. What’s the number one thing that inhibits any of those things from happening? It’s how do I secure this data. And so, what we do, we enable and unleash innovation across all rural sectors and regions of the world while protecting their most valuable asset.

Data is everywhere now. So, there are people doing field work, there’s a student studying in their dorm room. We want an investor to be thinking about executing an action on the trading floor, understanding that we need to be able to secure that data and allow people to innovate and work where they need to.

To innovate, you have to move to the cloud. You have to access data anywhere, anyway, and at any time.

And so you’ve got mobility, you have cloud, and you have remote work. Amidst those three things, you have to look at your IT, you have to look at your infrastructure, you have to look at your policies and say, what do I need to change given that? Well, what I need to change, I need to change my whole security architecture.

It’s important for companies and people, people who are innovating, to be able to focus on the good work that they’re doing. This, for us, directly ties into the UN’s ninth sustainability goal, which is innovation.

Providing that confidence that allows people to do the work that they want to do, and it’s the good work without worrying about how secure we are and the information or the practices or the discovery that I’m working on won’t be leaked to somebody else for an unintended purpose.

When you’re talking about what makes companies sustainable and what helps them in the digital economy, we’re talking about cybersecurity here as well. When you think of what we provide as a service in being cloud-native, we provide the opportunity to reduce that footprint that you have in those data centers of all those servers, making sure they’re maintained, making sure they’re patched. You know, we’re taking on that responsibility for you, and you get that one-to-many effect.

For us, that means one more organization that’s focused on sustainability, one less community that’s impacted by a data breach, one more diverse thought leader in our space to help solve some of these grand challenges. If I use my voice as Netskope, and another company uses their voice, and a third company comes in and uses their voice, then I would argue that all cybersecurity companies, all tech companies, can also make a huge impact in this space. And we’re going to be better together if we work together on these challenges, then we can solve them.

In security, unless you understand the language, you won’t be able to protect data, you won’t be able to stop threats. And so, the unique thing about Netskope is we understand the language of the internet.

We have something very unique. It understands in real time, within milliseconds, what is the transaction, what is the data that’s being transacted with, and then we can set policy to stop that. Machine learning, artificial intelligence, algorithms to find where these threats are. When you’re trying to protect people, you need to innovate. The world doesn’t stand still. Our attackers aren’t standing still. They’re waking up every day, they’re running businesses. These are criminals. They have a CFO, they have engineers, and they’re trying to take advantage of these companies and these people. We need to stay a step ahead of them by innovating.

The relationship that our teams and that humans have with data today is just the beginning. We’re going to generate more and more data, as we’ve seen, and there’s going to be a push for access. Data helps us make better decisions. We’ve proven that over and over again. For organizations that are trying to innovate, they’re monetizing that value of data as well. They’re building businesses around this. You’re going to want to make sure that your intellectual property is safe.

We secure that data across the world, no matter where people are and what they access. They need a new way of thinking about security, and Netskope is that new way.

We help you protect your data with context-aware access based on zero trust principles across web, cloud, email, private apps, and endpoints.

Web and SaaS

Secure and accelerate web and SaaS solutions

In today's digital landscape, bypassing traffic inspection for trusted SaaS applications poses significant risks, with over 50% of malware still managing to infiltrate through these channels. Netskope transforms security by decrypting and inspecting all web and SaaS traffic, including trusted apps like Microsoft, without compromising performance.

Our zero-trust platform adeptly differentiates between internal and external SaaS usage, dynamically adjusting access based on observed behavior. Enhanced by real-time coaching, our approach not only bolsters security and digital hygiene but also safeguards sensitive data while facilitating the safe adoption of emerging technologies like GenAI.

Surpass legacy VPN

Evolve beyond legacy VPN

For decades, organizations have used virtual private networks (VPNs) to connect remote workers to corporate networks, secured by the castle-and-moat model. However, the shift to hybrid work and the cloud has rendered the castle-and-moat model obsolete.

Netskope's ZTNA solution transforms secure access, offering a complete replacement for traditional VPNs. It provides seamless, zero-trust access to applications and services, ensuring robust security without the complexity and limitations of legacy VPNs. With its platform, users enjoy a more flexible and secure way to connect from anywhere, simplifying the transition to a modern, perimeter-less digital environment.
