Nomadix 10G Fiber Module

The AG 5900, Nomadix's high-performance access gateway, just got better. In addition to its standard copper ports, the AG 5900 can be configured with a plug-in fiber module that is outfitted with two enhanced small form-factor pluggable (SFP+) 10G ports. The SFP+ fiber module is designed for any venue with a visitor-based network where a fiber architecture is deployed and fiber WAN or LAN connections are needed.

To keep pace with the skyrocketing bandwidth demands being placed on high-speed internet access, many establishments with visitor-based networks are transitioning from copper to fiber-based network architectures. Fiber offers significant advantages over copper wire, as it can better accommodate high-demand applications. SFP+ technology also ensures optimal performance, lowest latency and low power usage when compared to copper Base-T.
